Xbox One S turns on then turns off

Xbox one s turn off while playing game

After still now it's not turn ON

When I press the on button:

1. the Xbox starts up with the on beep
2. The button light dims; and
3. Then it shuts down with off beep 1-2 seconds later.

Have detached the external hard drive and tried disconnecting the power for several mins.

I can't do a factory reset as the machine won't stay on for more than 2 seconds, regardless of what buttons I press.

Try holding down on the small button underneath the xbox logo on the console and that xbox button on the console until it starts flashing then wait until the light is solid and isn't flashing.

First, welcome to the Xbox community, and we're sorry you're having this issue. Given the problem you reported, I'm afraid it's a hardware and not a software issue. Anyway, I suggest you try the solutions below if possible.

Try testing your console on another TV or Monitor if possible

Change the HDMI port your console is connected to the tv and also the console itself

Try plugging the console directly into the power outlet, without using a line filter

Try testing the console on another power outlet

- If none of the above tips solves the problem, try the solution below.

1. Turn off Xbox One.

2. Unplug power.

3. Plug the power back to Xbox One 30 seconds later.

4. Press and hold Bind and Eject at the same time (don't release).

5. Press and release the Power button, and then you will hear the startup chime.

6. When you hear the second startup chime, you can release the bind and eject buttons.

7. Select Reset this Xbox on the screen.

8. Select Keep games and apps.

- If none of this solves the problem, I'm afraid it's a hardware problem, which would require a repair or replacement of the device.

Yeah I tried all the steps on that page before I took it apart. There is no signal on the screen at all. The light is on like normal until the console just shuts off after about 1 minute. But when I pressed the pair button to try to connect my controller
nothing happened but the disk tray button works still tho so I'm not sure what is wrong

Having the same problems over here. One day it was good, the next day, not so.

Anyways, actually I was playing my console when I realized it was plugged into a power strip behind the TV, must've been one of the people that helped me move in.

So, when i finally got up to do some other stuff besides COD "OD", I power down the console allow the brick to reset, plug unit into outlet push the power button, walked off to munchie land, just that before I get two steps into my stride... ????? ?????

So, no hesitation I figured, maybe I trapped it really quick Twice, and confused it...

But. Nothing... Same thing, SUFFER!

I have tried it all. COMPRESSED AIR.... everything.

I am looking into having my XB1 SERVICED. The power brick is solid when I put it into the outlet, starts blinking after I plug in the XB. I have already tried all the home solutions that I feel comfortable with ie... Unplug all connections, let rest til
light goes off, plug in and see. Nothing, same, on off, within 3 seconds. Moved outlets, walls, rooms. Nothing, same, on off within 3 seconds. The next step is to see would it be easier/cheaper/better, to fix.???
