Xbox One S turns off after 2 minutes

I'm sorry to hear that your console is shutting down after 2 minutes. This is usually a sign of a failing internal power supply caused by a possible power outage or by plugging it into a surge protector. Have you tried a

power cycle? Leave the console completely unplugged for at least 5 minutes and then plug it into a wall outlet and try again.

If the console can still not be powered on then it will need to be sent in for repair. You can do so online from

If ventilating the console doesn't help, the console will likely need to be exchanged or repaired. Since you only bought it a couple months ago, it should still be covered under the manufacturer's warranty (standard one year). First
check with the store if they have a return/exchange policy, and see if you can exchange your console for a working one. If this is not possible, then you can try to schedule a repair with Microsoft here: https://devicesupport.microsoft.com

I cleaned out the fans but there is still some stuff stuck on there, I think thats what might be it because the fan also makes grinding sounds

Make sure the vents are all free of dust and debris. If is still shuts down then you should contact
Xbox Support and set it up for a repair.
