Xbox One S turning off after crashing

My Xbox One S seems to have another problem, as the title reads it’s crashing and turning off. This has happened twice this week and its beginning to get very annoying as I already made another post about my Xbox occasionally not reading discs. The Xbox
does a complete power off and will only turn on if the power button on the console is used. This has happened when playing Batman return to Arkham, the game would freeze and I would exit to the home menu and close the game, a few seconds would pass then it
would power off completely. Would I be able to get any advice if I should send it to be repaired/replaced or not?

My Xbox one s keeps turning off after an hour I've been to settings and turned off 1 hour automatic shut down but still it keeps turning off I thought it my be over heating so I had it cleaned but no problems please help

 

Are you in the xbox insiders program? This crashing could be because of a bug in the dashboard.

Also, don't have your xbox plugged into a surge protector as that could have it not get enough voltage to power the console.

 

Hi, no im not part of the insiders program. I have just ran through thr link you sent me and it doesnt quite match what I am talkimg about as my xbox doesnt just crash it turns itself off completely.

I have my xbox plugged into a wall soccet so I don’t think its that type of problem unfortunately.

sounds like it it may be a hardware problem. I would contact hardware support and get that repair order going.

Sorry to hear about the issue with console crashing and turning off. We recommend doing a

Soft factory reset this will eliminate if it is a software issue. When you do the reset please before doing so make sure you are able to log in to your account on the
Account website. Reason being is it will delete the profile off the console. Also, select the option keep games and apps.

If the reset doesn't help improve it, then I suggest setting up a repair. A repair can be set up two different ways:

• First is
  Device support make sure you sign in then follow prompts to set up repair on your own.
• Second is to Contact us and request a call back.

When you go to
Contact Us to get it to request a callback follow these steps:

• Step 1 ----select Xbox One
• Step 2 ----select no thanks
• Step 3-----select games
• Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you.

Hi TheJumboGiraffe, it's possible that your Xbox was overheated and therefore turned off. It is good to leave the console at least half an hour to cool down.
