    Hi all,

    I fear I know the answer but it makes it no less frustrating.

    Am I missing the option to disable Quick Resume on Xbox One S?

    The reason being as the feature isn't compatible with many online enabled titles, and the games I play most often end up returning to an error state which either leads to extra dialogues and inevitably going back to title screen anyway. Worst case in some instances the game bugs out and I have to manually quit and restart.

    Games like Generation Zero, State of Decay 2, Call of Duty, Lego Star Wars Skywalker and many titles like that all are buggy if allowed to Quick Resume and the result is the absolute opposite of what Quick Resume is supposed to achieve as it takes longer to get back into the game than not having the feature at all.

    I manually 'quit' games when I remember but I shouldn't have to do this just to compensate for a new feature.

    What I feel we need is a feature to turn it off on a per-game basis (If the Xbox remembered the "remove from Quick Resume" and not add it back to Quick Resume on next play that would be enough), or disable the feature entirely.

    It works great with titles that are compatible with the feature.

    If you are playing on backwards compatibility, this may be due to quick resume, disable it.

    Turn on your Xbox Series X|S console and ensure you are signed in to your profile.

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the Guide.

    Navigate to the right and select the "Profile & System" tab.

    In the Profile & System tab, select "Settings."

    In the Settings menu, select "General."

    Scroll down and select "Power Mode & Startup."

    In the Power Mode & Startup menu, you will find the "Power Options" section. Select "Full Shutdown" instead of "Instant-On."

    A warning message will appear informing you that Quick Resume will be turned off when using Full Shutdown. Select "Turn off Quick Resume" to confirm your choice.

    Press the B button on your controller to go back to the main menu.

    Finally, select "Restart Console" to apply the changes.

    How much would it cost me to have quick resume disabled on my Xbox?

    Disabling quick resume is being explored, but there is no ETA on when it will happen or even if it can. Quick resume is baked into the hardware at very low level and may not be able to be disabled.

    Hello again, what game would you try to play in Series X?

    Does this only happen with one game or with all the games on the console?

    Have you tried any procedures like clearing the cache and deleting games that are in quick resume?

    If you haven't tried it yet, remove the games from quick resume and then do a cache cleanup.

    Cache Xbox One

    1. Go to xbox press and hold the XBOX power button on your console for 10 seconds until it turns off

    2. Wait 10 seconds for it to turn off

    3. Wait 1 minute with it off

    4. Turn it back on

    Xbox series X has no in game sound but has sound on dashboard and everywhere else

    In my case it helped to disable HDR in Xbox settings and don't use Quick Resume.
