Xbox One S thermal paste type

I opened my Xbox One S up and noticed my thermal paste is dry and not conducting heat as it should. So in my search for thermal paste I noticed there are several different types of thermal paste with different materials used in them. My question is can I use any paste or do I need a specific type, or is one not recommended?

A flaw in the thermal paste on a console doesn't signify a flaw with Xbox. There are literally 100's of thousands of people that are using the consoles without issue.
