  1. Xbox One S stuck Updating at 76%

Plugged in my new Xbox One S, was going through the set up process and it got stuck updating at 76% and wont move. Tried turning it off and on, unplugging it and everytime it just comes back to the updating screen where it gives me only two options: 'start
update' or 'turn off console', if click 'start update' it begins the process all over again and then gets stuck on 76%. Help! This is ridiculously frustrating...

    :)

To solve this issue you should perform an offline update through usb:

    support.xbox.com/.../system-updates-solution

    Try: www.xbox.com/.../osu1

    Page below...

Step 7: Perform an offline system update

To perform this update, you will need:

A Windows-based PC with an Internet connection and a USB port.

A USB flash drive with a minimum 4 GB of space formatted as NTFS.

Most USB flash drives come formatted as FAT32 and will have to be reformatted to NTFS. Note that formatting a USB flash drive for this procedure will erase all files on it. Back up or transfer any files on your flash drive before you format the drive. For
information about how to format a USB flash drive to NTFS using a PC, see How to format a flash drive to NTFS on Windows.

Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.

Open the Offline System Update file OSU1.

Click Save to save the console update .zip file to your computer.

Unzip the file. For all Windows OS versions, unzip the file by right-clicking on the file and selecting Extract all from the pop-up menu.

Copy the $SystemUpdate file from the .zip file to your flash drive.

    Note

The files should be copied to the root directory, and there shouldn't be any other files on the flash drive.

Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.

  5. Tried the offline update and at 80% it said something went wrong, so it suggested a factory reset, which I did. I started the whole launch process all over again and at like 70% updating it said something went wrong and to try again.

    Fallout 76 Stuck on Update

    Hey everyone,

I was getting the same error, but I was able to get the game running by following these steps:

    1. Uninstall and reinstall the game from Microsoft Store. (Can be skipped, haven't tested without it)

    2. Open the Xbox app on Windows. It will show the download progress of the game in the app.

    3. Once finished downloading, launch the game from the Xbox app.

    4. Success!

Hopefully, this will work for you.

    Best,

    Antarpreet
