    Hello,

    I have booted up my console and suddenly I cannot select any other resolution than 640.

    It was working fine yesterday.

    I have done a soft reset, a hard reset, and swapped HDMI cables.

    I have gone into settings > video fidelity, and chosen HDMI override. It lets me select 1440p and 60hz, and my tv now says it doesnt support 4k.

    It tells me to enable auto detect to get 4k, but auto detect only gives me 640 resolution.

    Any ideas how I can fix it get 4k and my tv back to normal?

    I have a Sony Bravia UHD tv.

    Any help very much appreciated,

    Thanks for the reply.

    You were spot on, it was the standby mode that messed it up. Turned the tv on off at the mains and it works fine.

    The problem is most likely with your TV.

    I always switch my TV off completely at night (not standby) and when I turn the Xbox on before switching the TV back on, the Xbox will default into the lowest resolution available, because it's not receiving an HD signal. (Safety mode, basically.) Your
    problem sounds very similar.

    I couldn't tell you what exactly the problem with the TV is, unfortunately. I would suggest checking the settings and using a different HDMI output, if available. Maybe the port is faulty?
