Xbox One S stuck in update loop no matter what I do

Hello, recently my Xbox One S became incredibly slow all of a sudden (in the dashboard and games), then it randomly turned on when it was off and the light flashed and when I checked on it I was on the troubleshooter.

No matter what I did I could not get back into the console so I reset it, which worked for some time but was still incredibly slow, it would also stop working again after turning it off and I would have to reset it once more.

I have also used the offline update multiple times which worked for a while but produced the same issues.

Then one time the offline update got stuck and now I cannot reset or offline update without the console returning to the previous update which gets stuck and fails.

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

I've tried both resets, to no avail, and no, I do not have an external hard drive.

I had already accepted that it may need to be repaired, but just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something.

Did you reset the console erasing everything or keeping the games and app? If you just tried resetting keeping games and app try again but this time erasing everything. You won't miss any content but you will need to download your games and apps again.

Do you also use an external hard drive with the console? If yes, remove and see if the same happens.

If the problem still persists, I'm afraid your console may need to be repaired. This link contains instructions on how to do this with Microsoft.

Sounds like it's stuck in a loop. Are you able to try an offline update with a USB stick? That should do the trick for you. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/system-updates-solution

Hi,

My Xbox One S was unable to startup, so I tried to perform Offline System Update using USB drive.

But during offline update using USB, step 1 and step 2 went successful. But during step 3 (42%), it goes into continuous loop of restarting and updating from (34% - 42%) and restarts and try again. This is in continuous loop.

Please help what to do now.
