    Xbox one s stuck at 66% applying update


    I turned on my xbox and it said it was applying update. It went from 30% up to 66% and then just stopped and stayed there for a couple hours without any progress so I did a hard reset and turned it back on. It brought up back to applying update screen
    and went from 40% to 41 then 42 then jumped to 66% and it won't go any farther. I've hard reset four times and it's the same thing every time. What else can I try to fix this?

    Xbox One S console update stuck at (Step 3 of 3: Applying) (66%)/ 86%

    Its been stuck like this for nearly 24 hours and still no progress and i done a hard restart and I turned it off and unplugged it for a couple of hours and it keeps on getting stuck at 66%/86%. I NEED HELP PLS.

    Ok, i solved this by cycling down the power by holding the Xbox button on the console (I have an Xbox One), and then unplugged the system for 5 minutes. When i reconnected and powered up the console, the percentage
    of the stage 3 part of the update had dropped to 40%, but then slowly increased to the full 100%. Everything seems good now - what a relief!

    Try this:

    1. Hold down the power button on the front of your Xbox One console until it fully powers down, unplug the power cord, and wait 30 seconds. Please note the console must be fully powered down; the next steps will not work if the console
      is powered on from connected standby.
    2. Plug the power cord back in.
    3. PRESS the POWER Button then Hold down the Bind button (located on the side of the console next to the USB port) and the Eject button (located on the front of the console next to the optical disc slot), continue holding down Bind and
      Eject until you hear a second “power up” chime.
    4. Then SELECT Reset this Xbox - This Troubleshooter takes the User to a page that allows them to select full reset or reset but keep content (this allows you to keep your installed games and settings!)
