XBOX One S Stereo Only in 4k mode

Any chance this is going to be resolved soon!!

I only upgraded to the One S for 4K support only to find a bug whereas it wont let me send anything but Stereo out. If I revert back to HDMI 1080p I can used 5.1 etc.. but not when auto detect TV is selected I have no audio options beyond Stereo.

Its not the TV (65DX902B), which is full 4k UHD, HDR etc......

    Not happy

    :)

  2. I am getting the following message if I try to play a game or contents through my xbox 1s on a Panasonic 4K uhd tv. The message says thats HDR is not available and 4K gaming is turn

You probably need to check you Tv settings. It might have a specific game mode settings that let's you use 4k. However it'll only work on the Xbox one s because the normal one is not cable of 4k streaming. And 4k gaming will not be available until the project
    Scorpio release.

Need help deciding which xbox one consoles to buy for gaming and 4k- BluRays?

    Hello,

Xbox One does not support 4K movies or games.

Xbox One S, supports 4K movies.

    Xbox One X
    supports 4K games and movies.

If you have 4K TV I recommend Xbox One X. If you have only Full HD TV, so Xbox One X can switch to Full HD mode. All the more power it can put into games.

There are over 130 games that are for the Xbox One X.

Graphics become bad when I get in a game.

Rainbow Six Siege Series X|S update lets you have performance mode and a resolution mode. The performance mode on the Series S only gives you a 1080p up to 120FPS. The resolution mode gives you 1728p at 60 FPS. The game does not show in 4K, hence why the graphics look pretty much the same as the Xbox One.

Although both the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X can both stream 4K, only the One X is capable of true 4K gaming. I would recommend the XBox One X over the XBox One S because it only one that can truly do 4K gaming! The XBox One S can upscale 1080p games
to 4K but isn’t a real 4K console, although it can play Blu-Ray in 4K. The XBox One X is the first console to truly be able to stream 4K gaming, plus it has a Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray player!

Red Dead Redemption 2 bad graphics

    Hi,

Red Dead Redemption 2 on Xbox was only optimised for Xbox One X it hasn't been optimised for the Series S or X hardware. On the Series S it runs in Xbox One Backwards compatibility mode. As such, it runs at around 900P (around 1600x900). This means it will look quite soft looking on a 4K display, although it should not affect the colours or the contrast.

Unfortunately, RDR2 is not great on the Series S, especially on a 4K display. FIFA 23 is Series S|X optimised, which is why this game looks a lot better.
