    Xbox One S startup failing


    Hi

    I'm having real problems with with freezing/crashes and startups.

    It started a few weeks ago when I woke to an auto update one morning which failed. I eventually got past this with a usb update. However since then I've had regular freezing/crashes in games, and restarting my console has become a nightmare. Power supply
    is fine, I have tried hard resetting and power cycling many times, sometimes this works but takes the console a good half hour to boot up. I'll get a bit of play in and it'll freeze up again. Bind and eject doesn't work at all. The last 3 days it just doesn't
    boot up.

    Today after at least 20 minutes of black screen I have been getting a preparing console screen but without any status bar, followed around another 20 minutes later with the trouble shooting menu finally, at long last appearing. I want to reset keeping apps
    and games, but I'm just not being given the option. When i select reset the only option available is factory reset, which I really don't want to have to do.

    Has anybody else had this happen? Any solutions I haven't come across, or is it in need of a repair?

    You're console may need to be repaired or buy another one on black Friday. i hope i helped :)
    Cheers Fearless Angel, yeah i guess if something is going to pack up, black Friday is a good a time as any.

    Its less than a year old, so although I wouldn't expect it to go wrong so soon, luckily im still under warranty.

    Thanks GroundOregano94, yep tried many times but no luck. Bind eject doesn't work, this morning it somehow eventually booted into trouble shooter but reset gives me one option, which is remove everything ☹️.
