    Hello

My xbox one s is making a slight harddisk like sound while it is off ( when ever plugged in ) altough it is in energy saving mode ( not instant on ). I can hear it when i get my ear close to console about 10 - 15 cms.

Is it normal ? Does anyone else having it ?

    Bose system with Xbox One

If your Xbox is set to "Energy-saving Mode" there is no sound output during the initial startup of the Xbox One which won't trigger the auto-wake feature on your bose Solo 15 series.

The auto-wake however will work when you output a sound from the Xbox system like saying "Xbox Go To Netflix".

You can either setup your Xbox One to do a full start and deaktivate Energy saving mode. Or you use the remote signal function as already described.

by the way as a similar topic discusses before , the sound coming is not like a humming electrical sound but more like a fast hard disk clicking sorund

    Hi

What you are probably hearing is the fan in the internal power supply running. If the sound is very quiet then it's probably nothing to be concerned about.

Thanks for answer , I can say that is very quiet i have to be very close to hear it. is internal power supply's fan is always working even in energy saving mode ? To give more information about the issue, when i plug off my console the sound is gone normally,
when i plug it again i put my ear to console and hear some electrical sounds first for 3-4 seconds than they all gone and this sound starts. and never stops. as i say i can only hear it when i am close to console at a distance of 10 15 cm and it is like a
    fast clolck tick sound

XBox one turns on by itself

    Hey there leogaboardi,

That's an interesting problem for sure. Is your console in Instant On mode or Energy Saving mode? It's possible the console is downloading updates so it appears to be on. Is this an Xbox One S console or an original Xbox One console?
