    Xbox One S shuts off in the middle of a game


    Hello, so I have an Xbox one S. It turns on and will play games for a little while (I’d say 3-10 minutes) and then the game will freeze, the controller will start blinking, and it will turn off. It
    seems certain games last longer then some. I have replaced the power supply and the fan. I have reapplied thermal paste and switch the power cable. What could possibly be wrong with this thing? On Xbox.com it says I still have warranty but the sticker is no
    longer intact. What could I do to fix this issue? I’m taking it to the Microsoft store on Thursday for a diagnostic

    i think my xbox is shutting my tv down

    So I think my new Xbox one s is causing my tv to shut down randomly. my son will be in the middle of playing and the tv just shuts off. this does not happen when just watching tv. has anyone had this problem and or know of a cause or solution?

    Hey there SeaPickel,

    Unfortunately, being that the console has already been tampered with theres not much that we are going to be able to assist you with other than to point you towards the "Troubleshoot
    Xbox One unexpectedly turning off"     support article.

    Being that the console is still within Warranty, I would have suggested to have the console serviced if it had already run into some problems early within it's warranty period.

    Unfortunately you have lost your warranty when you have replaced fan, re-pasted it.

    It could be the GPU overheating, but the MS Store should be able to tell you for sure. Best of luck with the repair!

    Hey there Handi,

    Sorry to hear you are running into these problems. Now of course if you have already gone through the "Troubleshoot Xbox One unexpectedly
    turning off    " support article and this has continued to happen then I would definitely request a repair.

    I would go ahead and go through the
    Device Support Website     to check on the consoles warranty and to get this order set up. Definitely want to take advantage of the warranty if you are having these problems with the console.
