Xbox One S shuts down after 1 minute

We can't help with self repair.

Thanks i will try waiting for 5 minutes as i was only waiting for 1 minute before.

I seem to have to wait for about 20 seconds with my finger on the power as it firstly shuts down after a second, then starts after a couple more seconds, then finally shuts down after 20 seconds!!!??

As you have tried to repair it yourself, there is nothing we can do to help.

Sorry to hear you are having issues with your Xbox series X. But don't worry, If your console shuts down unexpectedly while you are streaming content, try clearing your persistent storage:

1-Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2-Select Profile & system > Settings > Devices & connections > Blu-ray > Persistent storage.

3-Turn off and unplug your console, and then wait 5 minutes.

4-Plug in and turn on your console, and then try to stream the content again.

If the issue still persists, Please try one of the following solutions.

The console may be too hot. Turn the console off, wait for an hour to let it cool, then turn the console back on (also make sure your console is in a well-ventilated spot).

You can also change the console settings so it doesn’t turn off automatically.

Turn on the console.

1-Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2-Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Power mode & startup.

3-Under Options, set Turn off after to Don’t turn off automatically.

HOW ABOUT DO THE RIGHT THING AND END THE MODDING BY SHUTTING DOWN THE 360. Modded lobbies only exist because of JTAG AND JAIL-BREAK 360'S. "MODDING" and "MODDED LOBBIES" can be ended, completely if the 360 is shut down. The XBOX 1 S is coming in a couple
months, seriously, why would you keep the 360 going? It's 2017, get an XBOX 1. Black-ops 2 is misery to even play with nothing but modded lobbies. My friends and I are on XBOX 1'S, WE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH 360 MODDERS. Supreme Commander 2 was the greatest
RTS game ever made, backwards compatibility has ruined it. 360 PLAYERS DO NOT EVEN SEE THE SAME GAME AS XBOX 1 PLAYERS AFTER THE 10 MINUTE MARK. XBOX TOLD ME THERE WAS A TRANSLATION LAG BETWEEN THE 2 SYSTEMS.

As long as the games are backward compatible and can be played online from Xbox 360 and Original Xbox I am for shutting down the original consoles, and I will be perfectly fine with get Xbox One X to be have the power to play online and enjoy
