    Xbox One S set up welcome screen not fully loaded


    I followed the onscreen instructions to set up Xbox One S. All fine and it launches the welcome screen and is then stuck. It says resume welcome so I hit A and the screen goes black. I can get back to the Xbox guide by clicking B.

    I can access the other features, eg settings menu, search for games and load games from disc but the welcome screen still won't fully load so the graphics aren't loaded on screen. My live account is also installed and working.

    How long does the Welcome screen take to load - it has been hours! I've also done several factory resets. I have fibre optic broadband. I've checked the cables and that's not a problem as I can access everything else except the welcome options.

    I've seen advice on the black screen of death and have tried a hard reboot, going offline and rebooting and logging in without any impact on relaunch the welcome screen. Any ideas? Thanks

    I think I have done all the **** Rescues, but I don't get the Fully Loaded Achievement. Here are the one's I have completed.

    **** Rescue: Safe House

    **** Rescue: Lost Cave

    **** Rescue: New Haven

    **** Rescue: Tetanus Haven

    **** Rescue: Scrap Yard

    **** Rescue: Krom's Canyon

    **** Rescue: Old Haven

    **** Rescue: Trash Coast

    **** Rescue: Salt Flats

    **** Rescue: Crimson Flatness

    **** Rescue: Lockdown Palace

    Is there one I am missing??

    It sounds like you may be having some connection troubles. You mentioned you're able to access the settings menu. Are you able disconnect from Xbox Live and try loading while offline? Let us know if there's any change with that so that we can best help out
    with that Welcome Screen issue.

    Xbox one series s, it is not part of the insider program, the screen reads: preparing console, it loads up to 61% and freezes on 61%. No other devices. And my xbox was taking basically 12 years to boot up this morning and so I did a power reset and that didn't work and a couple times the green xbox one screen would pop up and 5 minutes later disappear to a black screen.
