Xbox One S screen flashing colors during gameplay?

Within the last week my console has been randomly flashing bright colors on the screen while playing. Weird sort of pixelated red/yellow/green/blue bright flashes during different times while playing a game. It happens with multiple games as well, not just
one, so I know it is not a disc issue. I tried searching online and haven't seen a single thing listed in regards to this, only screens flashing black or turning black for no reason which isn't the case. It seems to be gradually getting worse since it started
last week, happening more frequently for no reason. Any help is appreciated, console is only about 2-3 months old.

I have a Samsung 4K HDTV and the console is set to:

TV resolution 4K UHD, color depth 30 bits, color space is standard. I have TV connection set to auto-detect, and all settings are selected except allow HDR (which was giving me 4K gaming issues for Forza and GOW), and allow 3D which I do not have.

    :)

  2. [Xbox One S] Screen flashes intermittently

    Hi all,

Need some help with my Minecraft Xbox One S console.

Shortly after purchasing my console, the screen started flashing in extremely irregular intervals, these flashes are almost instantanious but very noticable during gamplay!

Here is some info i can give:

Flashing could range between every 30min to every 2nd day.I know it is the xbox because i have a Blu-ray player and it does not flash during veiwing, it also doesnt flash when watching Netflix or TV (without external devices).

Any Help will be appreciated, so i can get back to distraction free gaming!

    Thanks.

    Hey there -

That doesn't sound ideal at all. Do you have a different display you can hook your Xbox One console up to? That would help us rule out your TV as a potential issue and narrow it down to your console. Also can you try a different HDMI cable? If you aren't
or you are able to determine it's a console issue vs a TV issue, the recommendation I have is the same - you'll want to try to

    factory reset
your Xbox One console. I know it's not an ideal step but I would recommend a full reset as opposed to the one that allows you to keep your games and apps. Hopefully that helps resolve the issue. Otherwise, you'll want to consider having it
repaired or replaced under warranty via the
    Online Service Center
    .

Good luck and feel free to keep us posted!

playing with xobx on a ACER X34

If you have a Xbox One S or regular Xbox One, these are limited to 1080p output during gameplay.

Only on 4K capable consoles can you get higher resolutions.

As for the display only being a tiny square on your screen: Check the Acer's on-screen menu settings for zooming non-native resolution images to full screen.

    Missing Pixels (checkerboard)

I have the same issue. Does not appear in menus, video game splash screens or loading screens, or Blu-ray.or Xbox video. ONLY during in game, vehicle selection screens, during game. It shows as flashing areas in certain parts of screen, like flashing checkerboard
pattern. Doesn't effect gameplay, only rendering of different areas during gameplay, Worked with support for 2 hours, Confirmed different HDMI cable (including factory XBOX1), different HDMI input on TV, power brick full discharge, no use of power strips,
TV settings, Xbox resolution settings. Seems to have only appeared after latest Xbox one update applied 6/6/14. Shows across multiple games, including disc based games (Need for Speed), Download games (Trials Fusion - MOST visible), Even UFC Demo download.
I have uploaded a video of the issue from one screen in trials fusion. No resolution but to try factory reset (which I did NOT want to do), so send in for repair.

The Xbox One S and my tv

My TV (LG 60UF7300) has the HDMI Ultra HD Deep Color as well. According to the Xbox One S support page, this is another name for HDR 10. Unfortunately, I've been having an issue with the Ultra HD Deep Color turned on. It's causing my screen to flash black
pretty frequently. It also says that HDR is turned off and that I can turn it on on a different menu, but the option is not selectable.

Netflix: No UHD on XBOX One S

I can verify this issue...Netflix UHD does not work on Xbox One S. I have a Vizio M55-D0 with the latest firmware enabling HD10 support. My TV is now recognized by the One S video settings as 4K HDR capable. I am able to enable HDR support and it works beautifully
with the Blu-Ray app (Mad Max 4K Blu Ray playing 4K, 24fps, HDR as verified by the Vizio settings app). However when I start Netflix, the screen flashes, colors mute, and video fails to switch to HDR or 24fps. Netflix app is clearly broken right now for HDR.
If I switch HDR off on the One S, Netflix app is fine, plays 4K correctly, colors are fine obviously no HDR.
