Xbox One S/Scorpio 4K UHD movie rentals?

im wondering if either of the new consoles will offer 4K uhd movie rentals/ digital purchases? I learned my lesson w/Blu-ray, where i buy a disc watch it once or twice and then it sits on my shelf for years. There are a few ill rebuy when they come out
in UHD but most ill just rent. Any info on 4K movie rentals vis download-like it is now on ps3/4 or xbox 360/one? The only uhd player by Samsung just plays discs, not digital downloads. Second, will my apps transfer over like hbo go w/out me having to sign
in again ( dont know password anymore).

Do you have a 4k tv with HDR? Do you plan to buy a bunch of UHD Blue Ray movies? Do you want to stream 4k content (Netflix, cable channels, though they are compressed 4k)? If NO for these things, then I'd wait. Though my guess is the "scorpio" will be much
more costly than the "S" model.

 

that's a pretty good question right there. I own 3(?) 4k uhd movies right now and I can say personally that the visual quality is superior to blu ray buy itself and the difference between it and the older dvd standard is glaringly obvious when you pop the
disc in. I refuse to buy the blu ray star wars movie until the 4k disc for that movie comes out.

 

Ordered Batman v Superman Ultimate edition 4K - can't wait for my S to arrive!

 

No offense Hun Kim but Batman v Superman was one of the worst movies, superhero or not, I've seen in a number of years, only 3 Batmen: West, Keaton, and Bale. Nolan's Dark Knight triology- particularly the first two film were the best Batman movies ever
to be made or will be made.

 

Not sure if you are still curious about this but the first 4K rental I saw on the Microsoft Movies app was Lego Batman for rental or purchase.
