    when powered on it says brand new games are dirty and wont play any disc i put in but if i restart the xbox all games play fine. just started couple days ago

    Sorry to hear about the your problem. I would have to agree that it sounds like a hardware issue. I am guess that it be the laser of the disc drive. I hope this helps in your search for answers.

    Sorry to hear that. It smels like hardware failure to me. But yor other sentence is a hope. Try power cycle your console at first. Than try factory reset with option keep my games and apps. Power cycle: Hold x button on console until its power down. Unplug
    power cord for a 5 minutes. Plug it in and start console. Please let us know the results.

    have you tried a lazer cleaner ?? as you might have dust on the lazer its self

    This might be due to the laser having dust particles on it in the disc drive. Is it under warranty? You might need to get it serviced since Microsoft does not recommend disc cleaners on the Xbox consoles. Here is some information on troubleshooting disc
