XBox One S - Room Mic

Unfortunately, as the Kinect is no longer manufactured, we would not be able to speculate on the upcoming availability of adapters or where to acquire them directly.

Third party retailers may have the device stocked or may have other options available for the device, but we would not be able to speculate on their pricing.

Along with many of the other updates to the system, 3rd party webcams can work with Xbox One without an adapter and may be a viable and cost-effective solution.

You could also look into purchasing a boom mic like many Streamers use to pick up the room sound if that is what you are looking for.

If all you need is a microphone, you can either get a
headset with a mic, or just a mic.

I have a mini microphone that plugs into the mic jack on my controller. You can search Amazon for 3.5mm Mini Microphone. The one I have says it's for iPhone 3G/ipod/touch/classic. It will look like a large black pill.

I have the same problem. I have my xbox one in the living room but I have a long hdmi extention from the living room to my room TV whenever I want to play games in my room. I mainly play COD in there but whenever I plug in the mic it cuts off (remote and
mic) disconnects and my character goes crazy. I can not play with the mic connected because it will turn off the remote. What I did just now was that I used my PS4 USB cable and and plugged it into the xbox one cable so it could stay powered by a USB power
source. I went and played a few games with the mic and it never shut off, I will do further testing tomorrow.

i've tried the Sharktoon xStatics, they were ok.. but kinda cheap. I moved on to the TB x12's ... i like the sound coming thru but the Mic have MAJOR sensitivity issues. as in, when i just plain talk it is WAY WAY too loud on the other end. My
friend had those too... and when his fan was on in the room, I could tell. I moved on the the TB x42's.... they sound GREAT also.... but same issue on the Mic. I see the same problem mentioned all over the internet, and no fix since xbox doesnt have
a setting to turn down the OUTGOING mic. --- so i'm still searching also. Edit:.. and for the record, yes, i have my mic away from my mouth. Even with the mic ABOVE my head, it still picks up too much. The X12's i used to have to put the mic behind my
head.
