    I have an Xbox one S, had it for about 9months so far. No major problems occasionally a game crashes i.e. freeze or reset. However today when I turned it on (yesterday I just watch a few hours of Neflix before shutting down) the system restore itself and
    I needed to set it similar to when I first got it (set up language, wifi and gamer id) is this an mark for a larger problem?

    Because I've done so much since waiting to see if it would resolve itself that to restore before the mission I would lose about 9-10 hours of gameplay I put in hoping it would work itself out. That's why

    Failure of Factory Reset on Xbox One S through USB (Offline Update)

    The system is working still fine but I wanted to manually restore the system through official way of downloading an Xbox Factory Reset file onto USB key and factory reset it in offline way. It did not work, the system did not factory reset itself, showing the error. Yet it rebooted normally and showed the Start Screen without anything deleted. I wanted to know in case of issues on Xbox One S, that it would be possible to fix it the way it is said on official Xbox site.

    A Kinect is an accessory for an Xbox 360 and an Xbox One, not a console itself. If it's an Xbox One game, it can be played on an Xbox One or Xbox One S. If he has an Xbox 360, it will not work.
