Xbox One S restarts on power-off

I use 2TB HDDs each and after a few updates, the Xbox One S device restarts every time I turn it off. Before the updates I turned it off, and the Xbox One S went off normally. I've already noticed if the power setting is for economy or fast linking, and
it's in the power saving option! I want a help to understand what happens with the Xbox One S ... Every time I turn the device off, it restarts and only after the second power off does the device really turn off.

Clear Cache In Settings?

Waiting for them to put Restart and Power Off Console in the quick menu. So I can just hold the Xbox button and restart from there.

xbox one s restarts automatically when playing division game

I was playing division on my xbox one s then few minutes later it crash then my console automatically restarted itself. so I restart my console it seem to help. if this happens should I restart my console or power cycle console
my console ?

So you have two 2TB external hard drives plugged into the Xbox? What happens if you unplug them and turn the Xbox off? I’m wondering if the external drives could be powering the console on.

Otherwise, a common cause for unexpected powering on could be due to the Xbox One being plugged into a power strip or surge protector. See if plugging it directly into the wall outlet stops the problem.

Xbox One S - gets thru the update until powering down but doesn't restart. I corrected the issue by holding the power button for 5-6 seconds until the console powered off. Then I unplugged the power cord from both the console and wall for 60 seconds, plugged it back in and restarted the console. Upon selecting and doing the system update it completed with a restart and then returned me to the home screen.

Have you tried a hard restart? From the xbox one S in settings and select full shutdown. If its the regular xbox one just hold the power indicator on the front in until it turns off. then turn it back on and try your connection issue again.

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with your Xbox One S leaving it's internal fan on after being powered off. You may want to try powering a

power cycle on your Xbox.
