    Xbox One S Repair/Replacement


    Hello I just recently realized that my Xbox one S had been stuck at 480 P this year and I feel like it might have been that way for awhile probably 1 or more years. I wanted to know how to to get it fix or replaced i did some digging around online and
    Opened up the console a little. I feel like I've determined that there is probably something wrong with the Retimer Chip in the Xbox that processes the HDMI information. Also just to note that I kinda damaged a little bit of the outside of the console when
    looking inside.

    You will need to find a local repair shop to replace the port, Microsoft no longer repair the one s consoles apparently.

    Sorry to hear it. If your console is an Original Xbox One then I'm afraid you would need to look into replacing it as Xbox no longer takes those in for repairs.

    However, if it's an S or X then I would recommend setting up a repair at https://devicesupport.microsoft.com for the console

    In that case, your console will have to be repaired, most likely. If your console is the original model of the Xbox One, you need to take it to a console repair store (technician). If your console is the Xbox One S/X, you can get it replaced with Microsoft, or you can also take it to a technician.

    If it is an Xbox One S/X, open this website (https://support.microsoft.com/devices), select your Xbox console, and follow the onscreen steps to complete your service order request

    I am certain Microsoft wipes the information from the hard drive or destroy the drive to protect your personal information. For future reference, if you know you are receiving a new console factory reset the one you are sending just to be sure.

    Return it to the repair centre that replaced the power supply.
