    Xbox One S randomly turns off while downloading game updates


    I'm an insider since i bought the console (Dec 2019) and about a month ago the console turned off by itself like 4 times in a row, at that time I didn't have it much attention, but recently, about 20 minutes ago, it turned off again, I received a software update before it happened. It was downloading some game updates and it turned off, hasn't turned off again by now and it gives me the power off chime when it does. Could it be because I'm an insider? I'm in preview Delta btw.

    I had to updated my console to install rdr2 to updated it an a couple of games, an now it's like it has a mind of its own turning off randomly, sometimes it Will turn off while it is stating up

    It could be a failing power supply. That is covered on that page.

    When your console updates a game and you turn off your Xbox, it goes into background download mode where it will download the update while the Xbox is off. Once the download is finished it will be available to all accounts.

    Alright, the plot thickens. I turned the xbox off after trouble shooting for a while, and made this post. A solid hour after turning the xbox off, it randomly turned on and began updating. I was nowhere near the xbox, it did this without prompting. So I have no idea what happened.
