    Xbox One S random shut down


    Hello there,

    My Xbox One S that I purchased a little over a month ago has started to randomly shut off.

    I. Randomly turning off with no consistent timing.

    a. Turning off after 5 minutes or turning off after 1 to 3 hours. (Regardless of playing a game or browsing store)

    b. Sometimes playing multi-hour sessions with no turning off issues.

    c. Turns fully off.

    d. Give no error codes when turning back on.

    I have followed the community guide with a power reset, turning off auto-shut off making sure the Xbox is in a very well ventilated area and added a cooling pad below the Xbox to assist in any possible over-heating. Also I have ensured that the Xbox One S is
    plugged into a direct outlet and not a surge protector. I have been monitoring the Xbox One S with an infrared thermometer with temperatures staying very low (30C on the surface).

    The two possible issues I am under the impression it could be related to is a defective power supply unit or there is some kind of network on off setting and my router could be triggering it. But I do not see an option to disable a network on/off option.

    my xbox one s did random bleep sounds but now bleeps every time it shuts down do I need to worry

    Hi, have you checked your auto off settings? After the recent update my friend and I both had our auto off setting switch to off after 1 hour of inactivity.

    Used to happen to me all the time as a Preview member, which was one of the reasons I left.

    I can understand how this could be frustrating. I just wanted to remind you that it's against the terms of use

    Hello AnthonyLoCascio,

    Is your Xbox One X properly ventilated?

    If so, try to unplug the electricity cord and connect it again. Also, try to connect the console directly to the power outlet and not via a splitter.
