Xbox One S: random reboot/complete shutdown when goes to sleep mode!

Hi everybody,

I have the new Xbox One S for 2 weeks (2To edition).

Since the beginning i have noticed some troubles when i put it in sleep(instant) mode. Sometimes the console randomly reboots or goes in complete shutdown instead of go in sleep mode. When this trouble occurs, i have also noticed that the controller continues
to blink after shutdown and in this case i can't turn on the xbox from the controller : i have to push the xbox button on the console.

I tried to reboot several times.

I tried to clear cache by following these solutions :

- power off + disconnect power + wait 5 minutes

- shut down holding 5 seconds controller menu button and xbox start button.

This trouble can occur evenf if no game/app is running. And it's very embarassing when a game is running because in this case i loose not saved data...

Apart from that the console works very well : no network disconnection, no controller disconnection, no game crash, etc.

I am disappointed because with my old Xbox One, everything worked fine and i hadn't any troubles like that...

Is anybody having the same problem ?

Do you think it's a hardware issue or maybe a firmware issue ? I hope it will be resolved in the future update...

My light isn't on

Well, it's fine now after a shutdown and reboot.

I'll just file that one under weird random occurrence.

 

Is There an Actual, Permanent Fix for Loading Failure.

If you have the One set where it doesn't do a complete shutdown when you turn it off the cache won't get cleared causing user interface lag and game loading issues. Best to set it where it does a complete shutdown when it's turned off instead of standby mode.

 

When the Xbox logo is blinking just leave it it's normal maybe sometimes goes in full shutdown because timer is set to shut Xbox off when not in use for certain time you can change that in power settings.

In effect i think it's normal the controller blinks some times after a full shutdown but in my case when the described issue occurs the controller continues to blink during about 2 or 3 minutes after shutdown and i do not think it's normal.

But the main trouble is the random reboot or random full shutdown when i put xbox in sleep mode. This should not happen because the instant start-up is selected in the settings...

 

Mine is doing the same. Did you ever find a solution? I've opened a service case ...
