Xbox one S random crashes

I spoke to soon. My wired connection works fine for about 20 minutes, after that it just puts me offline. Checking my network status gives me a message that it cannot get an IP adress.

 

The xbox one has the possibility to have the operating system (dashboard) to become corrupted, but this usually ends up in errors in boot like E102 and you get stuck at the boot troubleshooter. It can be corrupted but still be usable in some cases, as cache
and other temporary files could get messed up. That could cause sluggish performance.

Viruses on the xbox one are not known to exist, to mention that.

 

When the connection to the internet crashes I can simply unplug and plug it back in to get my wired connection working again. This is so strange

i got the same problem with the xbox one s..keeps crashing after switching between apps and games...mostly when i'm useing or have used youtube and then go back to game its crashes 99% of the time...but not only with youtube but its the most common

 

You're only solution if there isn't a hardware issue is to shut off the Xbox and unplug it. Then replug it in and start it back up.

and try a power cycle.

Update on my xbox's behavior.

1. My xbox disconnects itself from the internet connection (wired and wireless) for 1 second and reconnects instantly. This causes me to get kicked off multiplayer games.

The 2 following problems occur even during offline gameplay.

2. My xbox freezes very often, causing a very loud buzzing sound to come from my tv ( NOT the same as Cd grinding noise) and my xbox will simply shut down after a few seconds of freezing. There is no error message or overheating message.

3. My controller will disconnect from my xbox, while being connected with official xbox wires and a message pops up to reconnect my controller. This is sometimes paired with the buzzing I mentioned in point 2.

Things I have tried: Power outlet trick, factory reset my xbox, contacted my routers' manufacterer, contacted my ISP, I have had a friend set up their xbox using the exact same cables and it worked perfectly fine.

I still fail to understand how this came to be, meanwhile no one on the entire internet seems understand the issues of my console

Unfortunately, we may never know. Sometimes machines simply break for no reason, and that may be what happened to yours. Something in the console may have malfunctioned through no fault of your own or its own ... it just stopped working. At this point, the
best option would be to start a repair with
Microsoft Support.

If it's in warranty, Microsoft will fix it at no charge. If it is not, they charge a flat fee (I think around US$150) to repair most such problems. That way you can decide what option going forward is best.
