XBOX ONE S PURCHASE CREDIT

I saw a promotion on my xbox one dashboard that stated that I would be eligible for 50,000 rewards points if I signed up for the VIP program. So, I signed up for the program, and I ordered the Xbox one S and picked it up in store. During the time of transaction
I mistakenly gave an alternate email. I have not received any credit and I am unsure why that is the case. After speaking to a Microsoft rep via phone, I am told that I am still eligible for this since I made the purchase on December 30, 2016.

Need help with reward credit amount

That offer was only given to select Rewards members. Since you had to sign up for the program after the promotion started, you would not have been chosen for the 50,000 credits and would not be eligible for that offer.
