Xbox One S promo code email

So I had recently purchased the Xbox One S 2TB console from the Microsoft Online Store. I received it in the mail, and was a little bummed there wasn't an option for a free game, item, something, for pre-ordering. A few days later, I received an email from
the Microsoft Store giving thanks for the order and was given a Promo Code, redeemable online for 1 of 5 games. The only game I want is Out Of Stock. Also, The code in the email is only 9 digits. I tried contacting support, and they couldn't help, telling
me I needed to contact "them" to receive a 25 digit code.

I follow the links in the emails, and it takes me to the Microsoft Store, and it takes me to the site where the option to choose the games are, however, I already own some of the games, and the others i do not want.

I've checked the relevant email accounts, no promo codes were ever mailed.

 

Problem with expedited shipping code for Xbox One S upgrade program

I received an email about the Xbox One S upgrade program for existing Xbox One owners where you can purchase an Xbox One S and use the included promo code for free expedited shipping. However, when I made my console & game selections on microsoftstore.com,
selected "expedited shipping" and entered the promo code - nothing happened. The page refreshed but did not remove the shipping charge; there was also no error related to the promo code.

I chatted with Microsoft Store & Xbox Support online and they pointed me to the sender of the code which would be the Xbox Live Rewards program. Here's the link to the program: Xbox Live Rewards

For clarification, I had selected the 500GB Storm Grey Xbox One S, with Batman: Return to Arkham ("The Crew" was also included for free). The Storm Grey console had been released by the time I attempted to use the code, so the pre-order stipulation on the
promo code shouldn't apply.

Ya if you read the email it does say one out of five and within those five you have to choose

There isn't that much choice you will have to choose from one of the and yes all xbox users get that when they purchase that promo

There is no way to change the selection

 

But will it take the 9 digit code.? I kind of understand the selection, and am willing to wait on the game I want, as I have until the end of the year before the code expires. I just wasn't sure since I couldn't even get to the promo code option as the game
was sold out. No option to click from the Out of Stock "button"..

 

9 digit codes are specific to the Microsoft Store.
