Xbox one s powers and closes right after.

Hi,

My xbox one s console is not powering anymore. When i press the power button, i can ear the sound and the light goes on, but 1 second after, the console shuts down. I can see the fan move for half a second and stop at power up and when i connect the power
supply to the outlet.

I have tried to disconnect completely the power for hours and i tried another power outlet, i disconnected everything from the console. nothing seems to work.

I was having issues with powering the console through the controler for 2-3 weeks. I'm wandering if this is all related.

My daugther is also playing a lot with the power button and the eject button. this may be what causes this issue.

My console is no longer on warranty so i would like to have an heads up on what could be causing this issue and what part should i replace first.

Regarding your issue, have you tried fully restarting your Xbox 1 S and tried a power cycle? If not, I would strongly recommend you do so. Also, does this happen on a certain game or on every game you play?

Yes i tried the all the solution proposed by microsoft. And the contact support link you mentionned is the link that brought me here to this support forum. Is there another way to contact microsoft technical support.

i opened up my xbox and there is visualy no damaged part. The power supply give a good 12 volt. there is not much parts to try and replace, except the power supply and the board in front with the power button. Has anyone tryed to power the xbox without the
diskreader and the wifi card? does the xbox still boot? i would like to remove them to isolate the problem.

 

I finally resolved my problem. I saw a video of a guy who replaced a chip related to the power regulation under the heatsink so I decided to take the heat sink out to check if there were no damaged part under it. There was none but i could see that there
was a little amount of dust and crumble on the board. clean it out. I've put everything back in and now it works. I dont know if it was really the dirt on the board that cause the defect or the CPU had a bad contact and by playing with the heatsink it put
it back in place but now it works and i'm really happy. Hope this may help someone one day.
