Xbox One S power up issues

Hello,

I have a Xbox One S and when i turn it on normally, the power on chime sounds, and the white light turns on. The fan is spinning and after about 10-15 seconds the xbox powers off automatically. The tv input never gets a signal.

However, if i keep turning it on, whilst pressing the disk eject button at the same time, eventually it will power on (sometimes my resolution settings are reset). It is infuriating as sometimes it can take 5 minutes and sometimes 25.

The xbox worked fine about 6 months ago, then it was packed away in its box and left there for approx 2 months whilst i moved house.

If anyone has any ideas on what it could be i can look at replacing the parts.

Note, I've tried a different power cable, hdmi cable and port. When the xbox eventually powers on, it has never turned itself off.

Hello,

I have tried all the troubleshooting steps that are available with no success. As said, i can eventually get the device on and working and when it does, there are no issues whilst its on.

What would the cost of the repair? Or at least the initial costs?

Sorry to hear the issue popped back up! How is your Xbox One connected to power? If it's connected to a surge protector, please ensure your console is powered off try a direct connection to the wall outlet and then set the Xbox One S back up to 'Instant
On'.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

It means that the external hard drive is corrupted, you will be needing to reformat the hard drive for it to work.
