    Xbox One S power supply


    Hi, I purchased my Xbox One S in the last year. I am moving from Ireland to the US in the next week. I had previously contacted Xbox support and was informed I could purchase a US power supply for $50, I just needed a US address for shipment. Once I had
    a US address, I again contacted Xbox support. I was then informed the Xbox ONE S has the power supply inbuilt meaning I could not purchase a US one. My only 2 options were sell my xbox here (with 5 days left in the country to do so) or bring it to the US then
    pay $135 for a replacement US console which may or may not play all of the Irish games I have purchased. Are there any other options or a way around this problem?

    Looks like the power supply has blown

    That would be good advice for someone with an OG Xbox One, but he has an Xbox One S which has an internal power supply.

    Hello Elcee1106,

    The Xbox One S does not require a power supply, or power brick, the power supply for the Xbox One S is on the inside. It seems like what you need is just a new cord. Am I right or did I misunderstand?

    It's an Xbox One S and the cable is blowing? S has an internal power supply and uses a standard figure 8 generic cable. You mean original Xbox a one?

    If it's the S it will have to be sent in for repair, the one you would need to get a new power supply for on the aftermarket

    The Xbox One X and S models power supplies are multi-voltage. This means they will work in all countries, regardless of whether supplied power is 110V or 220V.
    You do not need a power converter.

    Do you have a Xbox One with external power supply or an Xbox One S or X with internal power supply?

    I say that because in the first case you can try another power supply (ask to a friend if possible) to see if this fix the problem.
