    Xbox one s poor graphics




    Hi so i have an issue with graphics on my xbox one s i have had the console for a few years but never really played it due to having an out dated tv so last week i picked up an 4k uhd hdr10 lg tv i set up my xbox tonight done all
    the settings to display 4k hdr ect made sure my tv is set to hdr aswell but while trying to play watch dogs legion light colours like the blue sky and puddles on the ground looks pixalated when i get closer i can see very faint lines running down my display
    looks worse on lignt colours i dont see these lines when watching a film or anything els only when i play a game on xbox i can try and grab a photo if it helps

    The Xbox one S does have ‘upscaled’ 4k, so it does support it to a certain extent.

    HDR (high dynamic range) is also supported on this console, so this is why you see these options.

    If it wasn’t supported, these options wouldn’t show and if you didn’t have a 4k capable TV it would just say “your TV doesn’t support 4k/HDR” and you wouldn’t be able to apply this setting.

    I hope this explains it! On a side note, are you still experiencing this issue even with all the relevant display settings applied?

    Yeah i do understand trying to play new xbox games like watchdogs and cyberpunk 2077 on my one s is just not going to give me a great picture

    yeah i have all the correct setting applied on xbox and tv but the picture is just not great if it means buying then xbox series x then fine just wanted to make sure thats its the xbox and not the tv

    The Xbox One S wasn't made for 4k gaming. It was made more for 1080p gaming so that is why the graphics look worse on 4k rather than 1080p. Once you upgrade to a 4k designed console like the One X or Series X, then it would look better since, as I said,
    they're designed for 4k gaming.

    Hey Sam,

    If you have a photo of this, that would help.

    Firstly make sure the HDMI cable is securely connected to your console and TV, try another HDMI cable and/or HDMI port.

    It’s also worth checking if the same display issue occurs with other games on your console.
