XBox One S - PDP - Talon Media Remote, Can't program this receiver

I recently purchased the PDP - Talon Media Remote for Xbox One. I am loving the thing. If im doing anything aside from gaming, I prefer to navigate using a remote like this. Its great.

I'm having a program with one thing though: I can't get my receiver linked. Onkyo TX-NR676

I am trying to program the volume controls on the remote to control my receiver, but it's not taking. I go to Settings > TV & OneGuide > Device Control. I choose Audio Receiver > Audio Receiver Setup
, select Onkyo. Here I have tried the "Guide me" option, which goes no where, and then tried to enter manually. I found my receiver model (top option in the list) but was unresponsive. I tried entering the remote code, but all I can find is RC-911R which
is labled on the front of the receiver remote. When I try to enter this, nothing happens. Literally. I type it in, hit enter, the keyboard box goes away, but i remain on the the "Enter an audio receiver remote code" page. Does anyone have any input into this?
If I could control the volume of my receiver, it would be huge.

One thing to note is that the receiver is not plugged directly into the Xbox One S I am using. The xbox is connected to a splitter which is then connected to the receiver.

Hmmm, I'm using that exact same media remote for my living room console! Are you positive that the remote can do that? I can turn up the volume on my TV with the remote but not the volume of my external big speakers. Even with the TV volume i find the
remote to be very unresponsive, takes multiple clicks to register or just won't work sometimes.

Hi, I never used Receiver or Splinter before in My Xbox, but you tried Configured the Splitter on Xbox and the Receiver on the Splinter and don't works? I Suggest you try see if you finde some answer in Splitter or Onkyo Receiver too

Please forgive me if I misunderstand your question, but when I say "splitter" I refer to a device that your Xbox One (or any HDMI device) plugs into, and then the Splitter can then be connected to two different displays. So, in my case:

XBox One S is connected to a Splitter, and the splitter is then connected to my Theater Receiver (Onkyo TX-NR676) and Office Monitor (Samsung Series 7 TV). It works amazingly. I love it. The only reason I mentioned it in my initial post is because HDMI feeds
and gathers information between devices simultaneously. So if the Xbox were directly connected, the HDMI may be able to send/receive the necessary information to control Receiver volume. But since there is a splitter in the middle, Im wondering if this may
interfere with information being sent/received properly to control the receivers volume. But you do not program the splitter. At least not the ones Ive ever used.

I can't say I'm positive. It's just a confident assumption based on the fact that you can enter Receiver remote information through the "TV and OneGuide Device Setup" which includes the option to control receiver audio. I just can't seem to find the code
it's asking for. In regards to if the Talon Media Remote is the device that executes the controls.... that Im also not positive and is why I started this thread.

Thank you. That is a possibility and I will take it into consideration. I'm pretty confident that the Talon Media Remote would support this once I program the "TV and OneGuide Device..." properly on the XBox One S itself. So far the remote has surpassed
my expectations of it's compatibility. Short of the absence of the triggers and bumpers, the remote supperts ever button on the gaming controller and then some. I love this thing.
