    Xbox one S or Xbox one Elite?


    I am currently a ps4 user since Xbox 360. However my favorite game has always been gears of war. Now that the new Gears is coming out I am looking to get an Xbox one.

    Do I spend the extra and pre order the Gears of War Xbox one S?

    Or is it worth picking up an Xbox Elite now the price has dropped and pre ordering the Gears of war game separately?

    Is the Xbox Elite controller worth the price-tag?

    Any advice is appreciated

    Short answer is if you have a 4K TV go for the xbox one s.

    If not then you probably be better off with the Elite.

    You don't need 4K but to get the full benefit of the console it would be better to have a 4K TV.

    Games will look a bit better on a normal HDTV but personally i'd just get the Elite or 1TB Xbox One if I didn't have a 4K TV.

    As Badger said, if you don't have a 4K TV, then save yourself a nice bit of cash and go for the phat xbox one, they are going for under £200 now in places with free games and a contoller in some good online bundles.

    As for the elite controller bundles, for me anyway, are still way too high in price, and again i personally would go for the normal phat xbox.

    But at the end of the day it won't matter what version you buy, they are all good.

    Xbox One S - a few steps forward but many backward (vs Xbox Elite)

    Xbox one s IS compatible with Xbox one elite controller so if you don't like the Xbox one s then use the elite controller.

    I just pre-ordered the Xbox One S at Best Buy, having it shipped, and am keeping my Elite console too. I'll keep the Xbox One S in the living room to go with the 4K TV and the elite in my bedroom.
