    Xbox one s not reading my disc anymore


    Ive been playing call if duty modern warfare and now all of a sudden its tells me the disc cannot be read. The disc looks brand new and i have been using it for months. What the hell happened?

    If all other discs are working fine, then unfortunately there's something wrong with the disc.

    Try a different game disc or even try a movie disc that is of a supported format. There are cleaner discs you can put in the can "clean" the reader if you feel the need to.

    So I've tried the disc again on the original one, pulling out my external drive and copying the game onto my xbox one s. I then put the disc inside the original one and it started installing. I'm not sure if the one s is just not supposed
    to read skyrim or...?

    Simple Enquiry...

    Xbox One discs are Dual Layer BD-ROM discs 50 GB, which is pretty much standard now. In addition, the One S and the One X can also read UHD Blu-ray feature film discs. Neither the One S or One X can read BDXL discs, I don't know enough about the hardware
    to say for sure if this is due to a hardware or software issue. Note that despite the similar storage capabilities, UHD Movie Blu-ray discs are factory pressed, while BDXL is a writable format largely for burning discs with a PC.

    Despite the One S and the One X's ability to read UHD discs, they will not be used for Game media.
