    Xbox one s not reading discs/Lens swap


    So just recently, i reorganized and had to unplug my xbox to move it. I know i didnt drop it or anything but now all of sudden, my xbox one s stopped reading discs. Ive tried the tips of holding the disc for a second and tilting the xbox and still nothing.

    I have a original xbox one as well so i was also wondering if could replace the s disc drive or lens with the original xbox one or is the s smaller/ different size?

    Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
    Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
    Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    We understand that you're experiencing an issue concerning your Xbox One console's inability to read discs.

    We recommend trying a power cycle
    of the console.

    If the problem persists, try doing a
    soft factory reset of the console,
    reset and keep games and apps to help reset the operating system. Please note before doing this troubleshooting step, make sure to know your email and passwords for your Xbox profiles.

    Try this out first and let us know the results.

    Can the base xbox one still play a 4k uhd blu-ray disc(it doesn't have to give a 4k output, just 1080p is fine)?

    The original Xbox One does not have the lens capable of reading the disc.

    Odd disk drive problem

    First thing to do is try using a laser lens cleaning disc as a speck of dirt or dust on the lens will prevent it from reading discs.
