    Xbox one S not playing bluray disks and games from disk crashing sometimes


    Got Xbox one S 2 days ago won't play DVDs or bluray disks. It film in and it won't play goes black screen then displays picture for a second then goes to black screen keeps trying to change screen resolution to no avail. tombraider from disk sometimes works
    sometimes freezes when loading also

    UHD Bluray won't play in 4K on 4K non HDR TV

    So I have a Samsung 4K non HDR TV, and my xbox one s will show up in 4K when I am on the dashboard, but when I install a 4K HDR bluray disk it only displays in 1080p. Any reason for this? Do the UHD bluray disks not play in just 4K if its also not HDR?

    This reminds me of a really long time ago when I was in elementary school, my friend and I both had ps1s and we would sometimes borrow each other's games. One day he let me borrow Crash Team Racing but the disk was broken in half. (About 40-45% of the disk was gone) I looked at him and told him it was broken. He said not to worry about it and just put the disk in like that and I could still play. I ended up beating the whole game with half a disk

    I have the same problem since the last xbox one update. DVD movie and Xbox 360 disks won't work, only bluray disk. I can't install new retrocompatibility games or play with current installed games with disk. Maybe, something wrong with an update.

    Not sure why you would say it will not play burned disks, it plays dvd-r's without problems, I just no longer use them with the Bluray having better image quality. No one I know uses the low quality pirated films, they are made too poorly, certainly never on Bluray, just cheaply made DVD-R's all of the time,the xbox would have no issue there, just Bluray disks.
