Xbox One S = NOT FAIR FOR DAY ONE BUYERS

The xb1 didn't go as well as hoped, we have a slightly better console and you don't have to buy it.

Dude, you got THREE years out of your day one Xbox One. You do realize that this is the first year 4K Blu-Ray players have been out. Unless you have a 4K TV that supports true HDR, you won't really benefit from the One S anyways. I on the other hand, appreciate
this upgrade and will be picking one up today to hold me over until Scorpio.

 

I only expected a little something like they gonna do with the scorpio. If you don't understand why i'm upset, it's really simple : Before you where buying a consol for 5-7 years, now, you only buy for 3 years, but you pay it twice the price than before.
Nothing comes up in your head ? Ok, no problem for this, maybe you are earning 100 000$ dollars a month/year, but it's not everybodies case. An investment is an investment, qhen you buy a TV, you pay it 1000$ an you expect it to work fine and be a good one
for at least 5 years, a consol is the same, you expect it to live 5 years before a new one comes up with new functionnality.

Xbox 360 cames up with smaller/less consuming version, but it was all, not a Blu Ray or something else... And they could have done this, because Blu Ray read DVD so no problem with old games. But they didn't do it because it is not FAIR regarding people
who buy the first one (and had to change many times before having a working one...).

Why I try to explain, only lost of time... I understand why they are doing this, and I understand why I will not buy any other Xbox. I allways support Microsoft even with WP and now, what I only have is a big amount of useless or outdated "new" things. Thanks

Microsoft owes you nothing.

I get the feeling that because money is an issue with you that you do not own a 4K TV.

If that's the case, the Xbox One S wouldn't improve your experience and your Day One Xbox will play all of the same games.

The performance bump you get with the S is only discernible if you have a 4K TV.

 

Original Xbox was supported during (only) 4 years.

Xbox 360 Elite brought HDMI outpout.

Xbox 360 S brought internal hard drive.(and external hard drive support).

....

And you're only upset,today.

 

OP - Have you even looked to see what's changed with the One S? It doesn't sound like it. This revision is really no different than the Xbox 360 revisions. It doesn't even sound like you would notice the difference in your day one console vs the new S, yet
you act like it's some horrible injustice that MS has made some slight improvements after 3 years to try and keep up with technology. As I said originally, you seem awfully upset over a whole lot of nothing. How does this new release even affect you in the
slightest? Your old Xbox One will continue to play games just as it always has, and any new games released will still work with it.

 

If it was 6 months I'd see your point OP, but it's been nearly 3 years. I don't see the problem and last gen lasted longer than it should have in my opinion.

 

Guys, go on internet and look for difference between Xbox one S and classic Xbox One and you'll see what I mean. I you don't know nothing about technology, it's not my fault !

When you go from 3rd generation to 7th generation of APU, you gain a lot of things, not only 4K support...

It's already proven that the Xbox One S have a better framerate than the old one and if it can upscale 4K, it can upscale 1080p so it have a better resolution. And it's faster !

I'm not talking about some software improvement (reading usb drive, first xbox 360 have usb...) or some hardware adjustment (the first 360 have a hard drive, it depend on what you buy in the first place) and HDMI was on an adaptater with the first 360...
So nothing new with the last version except they have just added everything that was around the hardware on it.

Yes it's been 3 years, but the first lowered price was 6 months after the release. And the kinect obligation for nothing because even Microsoft doesn't do any games using it... What a big joke this was...

So guys, if you're ok with what you have, feel happy with it. I'm not happy and I wanted to say it where somebody of MS could see it. My first post was not for you anyway so have a nice day and forget about it.

I have a Day One console & an Elite console, I feel no compulsion to buy or criticise the new "S" console. My TV's (60" & 46" Sony's) don't support 4k but more importantly the "S" is WHITE which is unacceptable to me.
