  1. Xbox One S not displaying anything

so earlier in the afternoon, my xbox worked somewhat normally with a quite unresponsive guide.

I quit out of For Honor and attempted to boot up another game, but it kept taking too long to start. Not long after, I got errors stating that i should "Wait a full minute, then try again", and if I keep seeing this, I should restart my xbox. I turn it off and on again, and the TV wouldn't display anything at all for a few minutes. After those few minutes, the TV would finally pick up and display something, but it would display a black screen.

I attempted to switch TVs, switch HDMI Cords, resorted to looking for solutions online, didn't work of course, and I can't even boot up the troubleshooting menu or boot up the console in a low resolution state. I'm considering taking the console in for repairs, but before that, are there any solutions I should try before resorting to repairs?

TL;DR - my xbox one s won't display anything and when it does after a while, I get a black screen, nothing more, nothing less. I can't even boot up the console in it's troubleshooting state and now i'm considering getting the console repaired, but prior to that, I would like to ask you guys for help.

    :)

Xbox One S not displaying anything

Hi, I have already tried this multiple times, and it didn't work.

Surprisingly, after leaving it on, I was taken to the start up error screen, where I could reset the console. I chose to factory reset it keeping games and apps. It took a while to factory reset the console, but when it did, the same thing happened when I booted it up. HDMI not displaying anything for a while, and when it did, it actually booted with the "Preparing xbox" screen, after waiting for 20 or so minutes. I then got a system error: "E102 00000C10 8007045D", only giving me the options of resetting the xbox and removing everything, restarting the xbox, and turning it off. I will attempt to restart the xbox now.
Sorry to hear that. It should be an hard drive error. The only thing that you can try if the problem persists is to reset your console using a USB flash drive (scroll down until you see the section "Reset using a USB flash drive").
    Keep us up to date.

Xbox One S not displaying anything

    Hi,

I have begun resetting but keeping the games and apps multiple time earlier this morning. Now, I have recently just reset and deleted everything, and it's doing the same things it did earlier. I'll continue to update regarding this situation. I will continue to give updates regarding the scenario

Update - I factory resetted the console removing everything, and the same thing happened. Still continuing to restore factory defaults via resetting and removing everything.

Update 2 - After resetting everything, I unplugged the console and plugged it back in again, then I turned it on, and the console actually decided to prepare, after not displaying anything, to only displaying a black screen to actually preparing my Xbox. I will continue to update this until it works efficiently and no visible problems are seen. So far, so good.

Edit 3 - Continuing the setup, It asked to update the language to another variant of English (Specifically, English Australian), It installed an update, restarted, and showed a black screen for a bit. Maybe it just restarted without displaying the xbox green screen animation but idk. Continuing setup

Update 4 - Turned the xbox on and off, nothing seems to be not working unusually, it seems like its working alright, going to install some games now and test some games. Overall, this looks like its been solved. If anything happens, i'll continue updates or make a new post regarding xbox problems.

After restarting the Xbox, the same thing happened. The Xbox screen didn't display, then after a few minutes it did, only displaying a black screen. After a few minutes, the screen finally begun saying "Preparing your Xbox", then after that the error popped up again, the error being "E102 00000C12 8007045D". I now have access to the troubleshooting menu once again, so I can reset, however the reset button only allows me to Reset the Xbox and remove everything. Other than that, I cannot do anything else. I have some games saved on a 1TB External hard drive, so Should I remove the drive and then reset everything? If so, is the only method of fixing and/or resetting the Xbox done via a USB Method?

Yes, you should reset everything (you can unplug the external drive).

After the reset is done, you can reinstall games and then sync your saves (see the FAQs that I linked on the first reply).

You can reset everything using the button you saw on the screen. If that button does not work, use the alternative methods (USB or physical buttons combination, linked before).
