    Xbox One S not coming on screen immediately


    Hi

    Our Xbox One S has been having a problem coming on screen recently. We sent it for repair and the HDMI port was replaced. When it comes on screen now it is fine and the console itself has full functionality but it takes ages for it to actually come on
    the screen - more than a few minutes or seconds. We switched it on today and took longer than 10 minutes - in fact because nobody was in the room it may have been up to an hour.

    Has anyone else had this? And if so, what was it and how did you solve it?

    Thanks and to all for the replies

    The TV says 'no video available' like it is not connecting but then it does. We have tried it with different cables and TVs

    Does that sound like the HDMI? Could it be something else?

    Have you tried a different HDMI Cable?

    Is your console connected via a audio receiver?

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that your Xbox One S is taking a long time to get to the home screen after you turn on the console. We recommend

    power cycling the console     by holding down the power button on the console for ten seconds. If this does not resolve the issue, we suggest completing

    a soft factory reset    . This type of factory reset will keep your games and applications installed, but it will remove all the profiles from the console. Therefore, the email address and password of those accounts must be known before this step is taken.
    Be sure to let us know the results!

    If nothing else works, I would contact customer service using the method used to initiate the repair and explain the ongoing issue. There may have been a problem with the repair.

    As suggested above Power cycle your console and consider using a wired ethernet connection to your gateway/router/modem if you use WiFi (wireless).

    Wifi can be affected by signal interference.

    If still no joy, power cycle your gateway and wait until its fully functional before turning your console back on.
