Xbox One S Noise When Off

basically I've had a torrid time with Xbox one consoles I had 5 of the original black consoles before I had one which didnt sound like a bag of nails and now I decided to upgrade to the Xbox One s and after 3 consoles I have found one which sounds half decent
and not like a bag of nails (I'm very ocd about my consoles so I apologise if you think I'm being too picky) basically my current Xbox one s is on energy saving mode yet when it is off if I put my head to the fan vent on the console I can faintly here sort
of electrical current or some noise which dissapears once the power cable is removed. I was hoping somebody could tell me it's normal so I can stop fixating on this issue lol or at least advise me on this.

the noise is very quiet and not audible from anywhere other than having my ear to the console

Planning on getting a new Xbox.

i have had my Xbox 360 S since the year it came out in 2010. and i am getting brand new games but when i read them on my xbox 360 it makes some very strange noises. one of the noises is the noise when you enter radiation on fallout 3 or new vegas. and also
when i turn my xbox console off it takes 15mins to turn off fully. also when i go into my apps such as youtube or facebook the disc tray makes some strange noises and that when a disc is in the drive. it shouldnt be making that noise when discs are in. the
noise stops when a disc is not in.

so i am currently planning on getting a brand new xbox console prefer a gears of war console. now my main questions is....is there anyway to transfer data from one Xbox S to another Xbox S. or could i use my current hard drive an transfer it to the upcoming
new console?

this is currently my second xbox and i am aware of content licence which i can transfer when i go on my new console.

 

Strange noise near the power supply cable

Good morning, i've recently buy an xbox one S and i noticed tha near the power supply cable entrance there is a strange noise.. like a "zzzz" this is when the console is turned off.. is this anormal energy noise or not?

From the way you describe it I think the noise is probably normal. The console power supply has to maintain power to the console even in energy saver mode so it is able to recognise when you request to switch the console on.

 

That's what I thought buddy for example when you hold the button on the controller to switch on the console, appreciate the reply too

 

Just got a new one s and its in my bedroom all I can hear is the fan going not clicking just running while in stand by mode. My old Xbox one was silent. Is this normal because if it is i will have to power it down or get my old one back as I'm a very light
sleeper.

 

Anyone else shed some light on this issues
