Xbox one s noise when console is switched off

Console is set to energy saving mode or when the console is fully

powered down it still makes this crackling noise it's not as loud as it

sounds in the video as my phone is right over it...

Hey all,

Superb experiences so far, so quiet. Just one thing though on the noise side... I get that the PSU fan is on all the time with 'Instant On' - this is fine and you can't actually hear it so much.

However, now and again, my Xbox makes a fast 'ticking' noise - is this normal? It lasts for a few minutes before stopping. Then a bit later it starts again - kind of like maybe a CPU in a computer when it is doing something. I guess the Xbox could just be
doing something while in power saving mode, but just wanted to check this was normal.



Recorded a little video of it (put it up loud) you can hear the hum of the PSU fan and then the ticking of the Xbox. Does anyone else's do this? As I said, only happens for some of the time.

I have the same noise and it is driving me insane. My xbox one s sits on my desk and it's super distracting when trying to work. Constant un- and replugging can not be the solution. Did you fix your issue? If so, how?
