Xbox one s no video output and will not turn off

My xbox one s on Thursday last week was flashing during the night after I had turned it off for the night to go to bed. I noticed it in the middle of the night. Later when I got up and tried to get back on it, it shows no signal to my tv. I have checked the HDMI ports, changed cords, changed tv's, and it still is not connecting. The xbox turns on but will not turn off without holding the button down for 10 seconds forcing it to go completely off or removing the power cord from the back. Just holding the power button in for a single press makes the shutdown beep but it doesn't do anything else. I have check the online articles for resetting it using the power buttons and it has not worked.

The controllers will not connect either. I thought maybe it had not fully powered up and even tried to reset it in the low resolution mode by pressing the eject button, remote connect button, and hitting the power on button together. It will do the first been, but it will never do the next beep. It also will never show the connection on the tv either like they do on videos I have watched online.

I have taken a blow dryer and cleaned out the dust too. Does anyone have any ideas on what happened or what I can do next? Any help is appreciated.

    :)

Hello there! Is your Xbox working fine with another TV? or do you encounter the same issue ?

Xbox one s no video output and will not turn off

My tv just says no signal when the xbox is turned on and connected to it. It is not really a black screen I am getting, because it shows the HDMI port number and the words no signal. I have switched HDMI cords and I have even switched tv's to see if that was the issue. It was working fine when I went to bed, and then hasn't worked since I tried using it the next day is the odd thing. My thinking is that wouldn't be an HDMI port issue because of this. It is the xbox one s gears of war special edition console.

Xbox One S YouTube audio sync issue

I think I have been able to resolve the issue on the S by disabling the advanced video settings (Turn off Allow 4k and HDR) and set the video output to 1080p and 8bit.

Xbox one updated, now cannot watch 3D blurays

    hi

I have this same problem on 4 separate Xbox one S consoles.

Try disabling 4K video output support from system settings. This returned all the consoles to being able to playback 3D bluray but only with 1080p set as video output. Once 4K is turned back on the 3D stops.

    Hope this helps
