    Xbox One S - no sound


    Hi,

    Today, after launching Call of Duty Vanguard, the sound suddenly stopped, it does not work in the console menu, it does not work in any application game. The console is connected via an HDMI cable directly to the Samsung TV. Restarting the console does not help, the cables are properly connected. I checked and reset the sound settings on both the TV and the console. Sound only works through headphones. Any help?

    Does it specify Xbox Series S or Xbox One S? Those are different things. It sounds like you bought the version for the One. You would need to refund it and get the correct version if that is the case.

    4K or HDR

    It doesn't sound like the base model Xbox One will get either. That could change later, but it sounds like you'd need the Xbox One S, or next year's Scorpio, to get either 4K or HDR.

    Keep in mind if you have an xbox one s or x you must enable UHD and HDR mode

    For the S you must turn off HDR when playing xbox games otherwise you lose sound I know because I losr sound while playing tomb raider on my s unit
