Xbox One S - No headset sound

My Xbox One S headset sound stopped last night on my 2 controllers and 2 headsets (other than a static click when I plug it in), so I'm looking for some community help please. I followed all the online troubleshooting steps I can find to no avail.

- The headsets (one original xbox, and one other) all function normally when tested on other devices.

- The original Xbox controllers (with 3.5mm jack) all function for gameplay but are not recognising any of the headsets.

- Console volume settings are all correct, and not muted.

- Firmware on Xbox and controller both updated to latest versions.

- Sound coming through tv is fine.

It would appear from Xbox forums and Twitter that multiple people have the same issue, but no solution I can see. Hopefully someone can help please?

Pairing Astro A50 to Xbox One S

Since the Xbox One S has Bluetooth capability, is it possible to pair a Bluetooth headset (Astro A50) to it? So far I get in game sound but no mic.

The headset works perfectly on my Playstation 4.

are turtle beech headset compatable with xbox one s?

I have purchased an xbox one s and I have no sound through my turtlebeech headset. are the compatable with each other or am I doing something wrong with the set up?

Perform a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

I have tried this, and also done a full hard reset on the console. Still no change unfortunately.

I just had this problem and what I found was that in my scenario, my controller battery was low so I plugged it in to a normal microusb wall charger. I plugged it into the Xbox and got sound and then just changed the batteries and it worked fine. Had something
to do with the controller being plugged into the wall I guess. Maybe your situation is similar?

Still no solution one week on. Any ideas please? It's driving me crazy that no one knows what has caused it.

It also doesn't work with my xbox one s controller. Also there is no sound from it to my headset is the problem.

Astro A40's are better. I tried the Xo sevens but it is a stereo headset for 159.99, Ridiculous. Get Astro A40's or A50's. They are super comfortable they have memory foam and they are one of the best headset manufacturers. And they are Surround sound.

The Xbox system does not detect the mic and there is no sound coming out of the headset.

When connecting to a PC or phone the headset has sound. Although I did not test the microphone to see if it was detected at all. I will attempt that later

I still think the issue is with the Xbox one S controller that originally came with the console.

I found a headset that will work perfectly.
www.amazon.co.uk/.../ref=sr_1_1. Buy this headset it's not that expensive and it will work for talking with friends and listening to Game sound as well.
