Xbox one s might need a repair

My Xbox one s graphics look terrible now on every single game. My Xbox is always in standby mode and when ever I played a game I never closed it then I turn off my Xbox because when I turn it on I start from where I left off instead of having to wait through loading times. And I left my Xbox in standby mode with a game still running in the background. Now my graphics on every single game look extra pixelated and blurry even the resolution. I already tried fixing it in the display settings but that’s not the issue.

Hello Dan_893, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your console.

It is very possible that the issue is due to it always being on standby with a game running but we'll see what we can do for you. I see you've already tried to fix things in settings with no luck so I'm going to recommend trying a factory reset on the console.

There's an option to keep your installed games and apps and your saves will be safe on the Cloud. You can read how to do a reset via this link https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-net...

If you're prompted to use the app or bring over previous settings please select No.

which xbox is it, if xbox one or one s then could be the hdd is corrupted or failing, full factory reset might be needed again or repair.

It most likely needs to be repaired. However, you have the original One so it definitely will cost quite a bit to get it repaired. You might want to compare the cost of getting it repaired and a new S model. They are fairly cheap nowadays. I think an out
of warranty repair is over 100 dollars and I've seen new S consoles for a little over 200.

You would need to send it in for repair. Self repair is not allowed. Be aware though, if you have the original Xbox One, Microsoft do not support it any more, so would not repair it. Only the Xbox One S & Xbox One X are supported. If the console is out
of warranty, then you will need to pay for the repair as well.

Do you have a friend who has an S console that could bring it over to test? If that one connects fine, then you might need to get yours replace/repaired, depending on how long ago you purchased it.
