Xbox One S Microsoft edge Virus/Malware

The Xbox works very differently to a PC. The OS is far more locked down and apps and games will run "on top" of it rather than integrated into it. Since everything runs in it's own container, it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to get a virus on it
at all.

Any viruses that you get on a PC are all through "win32" which doesn't exist on any console.

The differences between the One and One S are also negligible, apart from the HDR and 4K they are identical in the software side of things. They run in very much the same way.

There has been no confirmed virus on Xbox one from Microsoft. Xbox being more and more like a pc means it could more then likely get virus. The likelyhood of that is rare being no hacker will make a virus for the xbox when the code is somewhat different
then on pc and no person on xbox is normally worth hacking with a virus nor will anyone get anything out of a virus on xbox. As talented and skilled hackers are nowadays then can make a million viruses so quick on pc and just send it off and hack people on
the pc.

Yep and you can't download anything on it no apps no plug in etc

I've never heard of any sort of issue like this.

Both consoles will use the same Edge App, so its safe to say its like for like in the safety department.

Both the Xbox One OS and Edge on Xbox One are in lock down. You could go to the most nastiest virus, malware infested website on the web and your console still won't get a virus.
