    Xbox One S menu scrolls down automatically


    My Xbox One S dashboard scrolls down automatically on start up when the controller is connected. The problem occurs when the controller is connected wirelessly and via USB. I am not able to go into the controller settings because the menu automatically
    scrolls down to power options when opened. I have already tried the soft factory reset. The same controller does not have issues when plugged into my PC.

    I don't have another controller. Hypothetically if the analog stick is the issue, wouldn't I see the scrolling issue when my controller is plugged into my PC? I am able to use it without issue on games that support controller use on a different device.

    It’s very likely that your controller is broken and the analog is going down by itself. Try to connect a different controller or start the console with the controller off to check if that doesn’t happen, then you will know for sure.

    Try pressing start / menu on that Call of Duty game, then scroll down and select "Manage game & add-ons."

    See if they are there in the "Ready to Install" section.

    If not, then you may want to get in contact with Activision.

    D-Pad not responding

    I have noticed once in a while while scrolling through my misc mission menu it will automatically scroll to the very top so if I was trying to select a particular mission I would have to keep tapping my down arrow on the d-pad to select it. Its bothersome
    but again it rarely happens.
