Xbox One S making humming noise while Off, normal?

Hey Gds1972 I was explaining that my console has been hooked up to a power strip with a built in surge protecter and also note this isn't about the (Surge Protector) its about the (Xbox One S Humming noise)

Or learn how adjacent protectors even make Xbox damage easier. Do we listen to one who knows only using emotion, fiction, or wild speculation? Or an engineer who has even traced surge damage made easier by a plug-in protector?

He denies by using statements that never include numbers. Any recommendation that ignores perspective (ie numbers) should be immediately ignored as if propaganda or an intentional lie.

We can discuss why a responsible company (ie Microsoft) recommends no plug-on protectors so that robust protection inside an Xbox is not compromised. But first, let's see one reason from QuickMythril, MyShasdow, et al that justified their emotional beliefs.
Where is one spec number that justified what is only propaganda from advertising? They will ignore spec numbers. Advertising (with no numbers) easily manipulates the most naive.

Protection of an Xbox is defined by concepts originally defined by Franklin in 1752. But that means learning from science - not from advertising, hearsay, salesmen. and wild speculation. Microsoft is correct. Naysayers recite what hearsay and advertising

Hi, I 've bought a xbox one S fifa 17 a few days ago.

I've got the same problem.

When the xbox one s is off i can hear a small noice coming from the back

Of the xbox one where the alimentation cable is connected. i hear it when i'm close to it.

Mine is also on 'economy saving'.

The xbox works nicely but normally when a machine is off, it don't make noice.

When i first put the xbox one s on I choosed 'quickly starting'

Is it possible thats it's due to this choice?

Do i have to deinstall and re install everything with the choice 'economy save'?

Do i have to take the paramèters back to défault and start the first installation again?

My xbox one s is on a surge protector.

Is it possible that this is the cause of that noice, interference??

I tried on a main plug, and it's the same noice when off.

Is it wrong for the xbox one S to un -plug it totally every time after play.

I've called assistance in Belgium, they are not aware off the problem.

 

My red GOW Limited Edition Xbox One S makes a quiet electrical buzzing noise when powered off.

I am using the Energy Saving mode.

I can hear it through the top fan vent holes.

I unplug my console when I'm done using it because I don't like knowing this is happening when not in use.

I thought it was just a problem with early builds [Mine is August 2016] but it appears to be happening on all systems.

Can anyone confirm that it is happening on the latest Xbox One S model with a manufacture date newer than August 2016?

Note: The date is on the sticker on the back of the console by the power connector.

It's completely normal, even when Xbox One S is completely turned off. Same thing is happening with two other consoles my friends own, and exactly the same thing is happening with my other console, PS4 Glacier White. I've checked other people's PS4s (3 other
units), and they all do the same. It's low whining noise, can't hear it unless you stick your ear to the fan grill at the top of the Xbox One S unit. If you're annoyed by that, you can always unplug your unit from the wall plug when it's not in use.

It's completely normal and harmless, it's called Coil Whine. BTW, my unit was produced July 4th 2016.

 

None of my PS4’s The normal or Pro produce this noise. But my Minecraft Xbox One Edition. And it’s annoying.

 

Yes, my Xbox One S with the internal Power Supply Unit, right after being plugged into anything, also makes a whining noise for a few seconds and then a constant ticking sound. Obnoxious. None of my Sony devices have this problem - go figure.
