    XBox One S makes sound like turning on then shuts off


    My Xbox One S makes a sound like it is turning on, then turns itself off after about 5 seconds. Nothing ever shows up on the screen.

    I've tried a few of the troubleshooting tips but nothing is working.

    The fan kicks on and everything sounds ok. It has done this a few times in the past, but always turns on after a few tries.

    The xbox button has been blinking at night, but never seems to stop.

    I cannot do the reset you listed because it turns off after about 5 seconds.

    If you live with parents and don't want to get caught....

    You can turn off the start up sound on both the Xbox and the Samsung TV, if your Samsung tv is like mine there should be an option in the settings to shut off the sound
